About Marion County Court Docket

Marion County court dockets are split among the Circuit Clerk, Magistrate Clerk, municipal offices, and separate state search systems. WVPASS covers public Circuit Court records, while MCRSearch covers Magistrate Court information. This private site organizes those official routes so visitors can identify the right court, portal, address, or telephone number before requesting a record.

Why We Built This Site

West Virginia provides public routes to many dockets and case files, yet there is no single search that covers every Marion County court. The Circuit Court of Marion County uses WVPASS for public circuit information. The Magistrate Court of Marion County uses MCRSearch, and municipal or probate records may remain with a city office or the Marion County Clerk. We arrange the verified contacts, portal limits, identifiers, and request choices by court so readers can begin with the proper custodian.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Marion County
  • Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
  • Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
  • Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a West Virginia court, clerk, or public agency. Its role is limited:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. A provider controls its results, service terms, and prices. We may receive a referral fee after a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, which supports free access to this reference material. We neither set those charges nor control the records a provider returns.
